Digital transformation startup Mobiup has developed a tool that seeks to solve a problem that content creators are most concerned about on social networks. This is a Soulbound Token (SBT) used as a verification stamp.
The SBTs, an idea proposed by the founder Ethereum (ETH)Vitalik Buterin is basically a pro NFT It is not transferable and is not intended for commerce or art. In fact, the suggestion is to be a certificate of authenticity for something personal.
Authenticator Verification Seal, a solution developed with technology Blockchainaims to solve the way fake Instagram profiles are identified by SBTs.
Any profile can be verified by Authenticator, from content creators to companies and artists. A verified profile will have a blue stamp of verification in its feed, and in the original profile it will be marked as a numeric combination, which will not be possible to find on a fake profile.
Rodrigo Caggiano, Product Manager at Mobiup says, “The Authenticator is an initiative that aims to make life as difficult as possible for scammers. This is a problem that exists not only with the content creator, but with hotels, restaurants, artists and even ordinary people.”
How does the verification badge work?
For this validation to happen, the account owner has to submit the required data and wait for confirmation by the authenticator, after approval it is recorded in the blockchain, and the SoulBond NFT is sent to your wallet.
It cannot be transferred to another person, only the person connected to your wallet. Each badge will have its own url that anyone can check on the Authenticator website.
We already have over 500 people on the waiting list to receive Mobiup’s seal of endorsement. The number of creators alerting followers about fake scams on instagram can be seen by most users of the network.
“The war against fake profiles is far from over. This month alone I lost followers who contacted me to say they had specified a fake name. Most of these scammers are after unsuspecting investors, which is why I always reach out on my unconnected networks and never ask for data via Instagram” He’s already been endorsed by authenticator, said Caio Vicentino, a coding and web3 influencer.
The initiative will also release news to all users who join the project: “We want to make a real WEB3 product, and make a movement where the verified community increasingly promotes the product to show the main power of blockchain solutions and show the community that NFTs are not cards that will make the user rich overnight.” Overnight,” says Rodrigo Caggiano.
On facebook, in 2020, it was estimated that the number of fake profiles reached 270 million, with the explosive growth of instagram, it can be estimated that the number of fake profiles on the platform has already been exceeded.
Authenticator is implemented by Mobiup in partnership with Pug Club, Web3 Fast and a group of market professionals. Joining names like Caio Vicentino, Alexandre Senra, João Hazim, Felipe Dantas, Angelo Whosoever, Igor Brasil, Benito Napolitano, Max Schiller and other professionals who helped by providing feedback in building the product.
