Web3, a decentralized environment based on blockchain technology and the artificial intelligence (AI) that surrounds the new internet, has returned to move the market in recent days with companies founded by Brazilians. One is Parfin, a Fintech that provides solutions for custodial, management and trading of crypto assets, and the other is Cryptum, a platform launched last year with the aim of providing “blockchain as a service” (BaaS) solutions in a Web3 environment..
In the case of Parfin, the platform recently received $15 million in an investment round led by Framework Ventures, a major venture capital fund based in Silicon Valley, California (USA), which has assets of around $1.4 billion. Contribute to cryptocurrency and blockchain related startups.
According to information published by BrazilJournal, L4 Venture Builder, an institutional venture capital fund recently created by the Brazilian stock exchange B3, also participated in the fundraiser. According to the publication, Valor Capital and Alexia Ventures, who were already investors in the startup, have also pursued Parfin’s investment round.
Founded in 2019 by Marcos Ferriato, former partner and CTO of BTG, and Alex Boileau, a Brazilian programmer who made his career in London with clips at Siemens, Parfin currently offers three products. One of them is Crypto as a Service, an application that allows connection to 20 different exchanges and has B3 as one of the clients, a cryptocurrency custody solution, and its own recently launched blockchain network, Parchain.
In the case of Cryptum, the company arrived with a proposal to offer blockchain infrastructure to companies in sectors such as finance, real estate, and e-commerce, among others. According to information published by Valor, the idea of the startup is to make it easier to migrate projects from Web2 to Web3.
The platform, which supports Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, Avalanche, Polygon, Cardano, Celo, Binance Smart Chian, Stellar, XRP Ledger and Hathor networks, currently has two projects. One of them is Kodo Asset, a real estate asset manager based in the Bahamas, which, according to the publication, has already coded a trading board in Avenida Faria Lima, the financial center of São Paulo (SP), and Ucorp.app, an electric vehicle fleet management application that allows calculating Savings of carbon dioxide emitted into the atmosphere by means of tokens.
According to the CEO and founder of the company, André Salem, Cryptum already has nearly 300 clients in Brazil and worldwide and maintains partnerships with Microsoft, Celo, XRP Ledger, Harmony, Hathor and Ethereum.
