The cryptocurrency market in Brazil is still full of news despite the bear market and end-of-year mood. In one, the NGO Toda Para o Mar, which has been using surfing since 2016 as a tool for inclusion in Maracaípe (PE) by promoting educational events and activities focused on surfing, has received support from a group of national DAOs.
Mediated by Surfguru, the financial backing is split between GnarsDAO, NounsBR, and LilSisters who, through the daily sale of NFTs, support projects and social causes to spread their brand by collectively creating content. NounsDAO has grown so quickly that these “subDAOs” have sprung up to target smaller value niches and offerings, such as the subDAO organizations currently funding TPM.
“The possibility of online fundraising is a revolutionary reality for the NGO Toda Para o Mar. Surfguru is a partner that works to enhance our access to the reality of the web3 world. There are several lessons learned that will enable us to maintain our activities with the Maracaípe-PE community. These influences The revolutionary partnership has positively impacted the lives of many children, adolescents and women at risk. We are very happy and excited to expand the network and reach out to people who believe in social transformation”, say NGO coordinators Toda para o Mar, Nuala Costa and Lígia Levy,
In this mission, over the next few weeks, Play4Change, an initiative that promotes financial inclusion, education and social transformation through web3, will meet with some of the children and teens who participate in the NGO TPM to receive education on crypto, blockchain, web3 and DAOs in a way General.
Opera Crypto Browser
In another first, Opera has released Web3 Guard, a suite of browser security features for a “bulletproof” browsing experience for Web3 users.
“The browsers that most people use today are not designed to handle the complexity of Web3,” said Danny Yao, senior product manager at Opera. “With today’s release, we are taking a huge leap forward and providing customized security features that allow people to use Web3 applications more securely.”
DApp Check is a core component of the Web3 Guard feature, which checks for security risks associated with DApps. The new tool also includes checking for suspicious codes in case they were generated by a malicious owner or if they have been audited. This update is intended to help users assess whether a DApp has been compromised or configured to trick users into trusting it.
Another feature is Seed Phrase Phishing Check, which is designed to protect users from alleged phishing attacks. These attacks often target users’ seed phrases and private keys – some of the most important parts of any crypto wallet – which can be used to gain full access to a user’s digital assets.
As part of the scans, Web3 Guard scans web pages for signs of exploits, such as common phishing keywords and characteristics, without compromising users’ privacy or personal data.
The Opera Crypto Browser also includes MultiversX integration, support for NEAR tokens in the Opera Crypto wallet, and support for Binance Connect P2P payments.
NFTs and education
An article comprising 94 blockchain, tokenization and metaverse professionals will receive a copy of the NFT and will allocate resources to the NGO Educar+. In all, one hundred NFTs will be mined, with different characteristics and prices starting at R$475. NFT combines texts and podcasts by authors with annual access to the Cryptohouse of Commons (CHOC) platform, among other elements.
This teamwork attempts to unite the great thinking minds of the crypto world. We chose a 100% non-profit initiative, and directed the entire proceeds from the sale of editorial NFTs towards training these young people, so that they can participate in the job market, whether they are developing web3 applications in the Brazilian market or even abroad,” said Daniel de Paiva, one of the coordinators of the book.
CT
Another novelty is that TC announced the appointment of Luis Fernando (Fefo) Marcondes as Director of the company’s Multi-Family Office (MFO). The Executive Officer takes up the position with the aim of developing the MNF area of the TCC, which will be responsible for providing a service that includes the pillars of estate planning, financial advice and family assistance, as well as complementing the services of the private sector, the most exclusive plan of the CT.
Through strategic planning, the MFO will take care of all clients’ assets with complete visibility, aligning all equity strategies, including investments, spending policy, fixed assets, corporate and family.
From MNF’s directives, clients will have the management of the net equity portion (i.e., their investment) carried out by TC’s Wealth. This independent asset manager was established in February of this year and aims to appropriately diversify the client’s financial assets, and strive to maintain its purchasing power in an efficient manner and in line with the asset planning implemented by the multinational force.

Digital payments for education services are on the rise in Brazil. Data collected by Visa Consulting & Analytics (VCA) shows that the number of transactions in the first half of 2022 increased by 74.6% compared to the first half of 2021.
The study also indicates that in the first six months of 2022, the month of June, where it represents the re-registration period, was marked by an overall increase of 119% in transactions compared to the same period last year.
The survey conducted by the VCA indicated that the average volume of direct transactions in education services increased by 93% between the first half of 2021 to 2022, while online transactions in the same category increased by 41.4% during the same period.
The study also showed that in the first half of 2021 and 2022, the states of São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Minas Gerais and Paraná, respectively, had the highest number of digital payment transactions in the education sector. In the state of São Paulo, there was an 87.2% increase in the number of transactions during the first half of 2021 compared to the first half of 2022.
“We are facing this growth very positively, because we know the importance of the education sector to the country and how its transactions have traditionally been carried out via a bank slip. With this data, we can realize the impact of the digital payment experience on consumers. We are seeing an awareness of them and their companies, which goes beyond practicality. It is Confidence to conduct a transaction safely in an industry that changes lives.” says Oscar Pizzoni, Executive Director of VCA.
