MEPs reached agreement with EU governments in talks on the Emissions Trading System (ETS) and the Social Climate Fund, over the weekend in Brussels.
On Monday December 19th at 10:30 CET, an online press conference is scheduled with Peter Lisi (EPP, DE), ETS Parliamentary Rapporteur, Pascal Canvin (Renew, FR), Chair of the Environment, Public Health and Food Safety Committee and Dragoș Pîslaru (Renew, RO), Chairman of the Employment and Social Affairs Committee.
The press conference can be followed live on the Internet and Ebs.
Simultaneous interpretation of the press conference will be available in English, French and German.
The ETS is part of the “suitable package for 55 in 2030”, the European Union’s plan to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by at least 55% by 2030 compared to 1990 levels in line with European climate law. MEPs have already negotiated agreements with EU governments on CBAM, CO2 cars, LULUCF, effort sharing and ETS aviation.
